Photographer / Videographer

PLAYA ENCUENTRO, Cabarete, Dominican Republic

Now hiring for winter 2023/2024 high season starting December 2023 to April 2024, with possibility of a longer contract. We are currently seeking a photographer & videographer that could work with us. We are open for interns too.

The ideal candidate will have:

– A minimum of 2 years of experience in photography. Studies in Photography and be able to show his interest in outdoor photography.

-A interest in sport photography.

-A minimum of 2 years of experience in photo editing. Video editing, color correction, post-production also an asset.

-A portfolio of photos and video edits to show us.

Equipment required:

A good camera

A minimum of a 400mm lens (600mm ideal) for shooting from the beach and another lens for portrait/lifestyle shots.

A high-quality tripod if possible.

A laptop with editing applications

Drone & Water housing a strong asset.

Other qualities:

Autonomous, independent and creative thinking
Have healthy life habits
Strong work ethic
Outgoing personality and a good sense of humor
Able to keep a professional image
Able to perform under pressure with short deadlines
Speak good English or bilingual (English / Spanish) applicants are a strong asset
Very organized and disciplined in his work ethic

WHAT TO EXPECT

The work is based on at least 5 days a week working including week-end. Days off will be taken during week days and depending of the reservation we have at the school.

Work schedule can vary depending on surf lessons schedules from 7:00am to 13pm or longer til 17h (with resting time during the day).

Food allowance & accommodation are not provided.

Surf rentals / lessons are offered for free during your stay.

This is a not paid position but the photographer is responsible for selling his pictures to our customers in exchange of 10% of all his earnings and sending us pictures every day for us to use on our social media platform.
