Job Description: Surf Instructor
Location: Playa Encuentro, Cabarete, Dominican Republic
Type: Full-time/Part-time
Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Surf Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong teaching skills, be pro-active and see the work to be done, a passion for surfing, and the ability to create memorable experiences for students of all ages and skill levels.
THE JOB:
- Work from Monday to Sunday – From 7 AM to 16H (with one day off to be determine)
- Provide surf lessons from beginners to advanced surfers, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Groups of 3 students maximum per instructor (REEF Environment required)
- Teach ocean safety, surf etiquette, and basic to advanced surfing techniques.
- The times of the surf courses are 1h30 minutes per lesson.
- Free access to all surf equipment
- Fair salary based on Dominican Salary Chart. With pays additional per student for each lesson.
- Support the team with additional tasks, such as assisting with surf rentals, prepare the students with proper equipment, clean the beach around the school.
YOUR PROFILE
You are at least 21 years old.
You know how to surf:)
Have a valid ISA Level 1 license is a plus
Ideally, you have teach surf lessons before.
You speak English fluently and ideally also French and Spanish
You have in-depth knowledge of surf theory topics (currents, waves, tides, board shapes, etc.)
You are motivating, positive and have no problem getting up early.
